sampling Concepts and definition
Concepts and definition
v study sample (Sample Survey): research on the distribution and estimate the parameters measured on a population by a selected subset of the population.
v population (Population): A collection of objects or people about their study is done.
v sampling units (Sampling Units): people or objects that are selected from the population.
v sampling frame (Frame): A list of all the population units in any order that the samples are chosen.
v Svgrayy (bias) in the sample (Bias In Sampling): Any effect at any stage of the study findings or conclusion that the cause be diverted from the real data, is defined Svgrayy.
v sampling ratio or fraction (Sampling Fraction): ratio of the number of units in the sample, the number of sampling units within the sampling ratio or fraction called sampling.
v Target population (Target Population): we want a society that we inform the community about the acquisition target is called.
v Sampling Plan (Sampling Design): is a method for selecting the sample units for estimating characteristics of all study population.
v probability sampling (Probability Sampling): sampling in which each unit with clear potential of the population is selected.
v non probability sampling (Non-Probability Sampling): sampling in which units can not be elected, the Ahtmalhayy attributed.
Benefits of using sampling to census
Reduce costs
Reducing the time and more speed
Reliability
Better use of resources
More power operation
More rectitude
Units maintain community
The main steps in a sample of
Study objectives
Population sampling
Sampling units
Data collection
Desired degree of accuracy
Measurement methods
Framework
Sample selection
Pretest
Education statistician
And summarized data
Data for future studies
Important points in designing a sampling
1 - Decision on the goals of
2 - the estimated Tghmyn
3 - defined population sampling
4 - select sampling frame
5 - Decision on the Method Study
